Smoked Alewives 2
The pieces is hand-hewn from one long oak beam that I dragged from the Georges River bottom which happened to be at the very spot of the spring run of alewives in Warren, Maine.
I thought it appropriate to show an image inside the beam of what had been happening over the beam for 100 years. The spring run of fish being pursued by the “shags” (Cormorants).
Materials: Oak beam
Size: 11’l x 12”w x 12”h
