Attitude
I was inspired by the seemingly spotless appearance of seagulls when, in reality, they are angry or, perhaps, intently self-serving, not unlike many men of the sea required to know their situation at all times.
The gulls were made with cherry wood for its ability to achieve fine and lasting details. Oak was used for the piling because of the realistic value of oak pilings in marine construction.
